Inside Sales - Excellent opportunity in very high tech

La Crescenta-Montrose, California, United States Full-time Allows remote

We have an immediate opening for an inside-sales professional to help us “change the world” with our one-of-a-kind technologies. When prospects discover us they typically say, “where have you been all my life?”

Our customers are manufacturers of products that must feel “just right” to the touch of their consumers (something called ‘haptics’). We span many industries — textiles, consumer packaged goods (hygiene, paper, household), cosmetics & personal grooming, automotive & airplane interiors, furniture, consumer electronics — and our customers include global brands like Procter & Gamble, Apple, Ford, Honda, Occulus, BASF, lululemon and L’Oreal.

Prospective customers initially are unlikely to know exactly how we can help them answer product design, manufacturing and marketing questions. It's a technical sale that requires educating them about the fit between their product design and manufacturing process and our solutions.

Your primary inside-sales role will be to nurture prospects from our first contact with them until they are ready for in-depth development by our senior sales specialists.

You'll also:

  • Cold call very targeted prospects you found by mining trade publications, conference rosters and online searches.
  • Participate in creating and executing world-class lead-generation marketing campaigns.
  • Artfully manage our presence at trade shows; maintain our CRM system; and help update our website’s content, social-media channels, and marketing material.

The position provides an exceptional opportunity for technical and biz-dev growth. To succeed, you must have:

  • At least three years of experience selling technical products or services to businesses (B2B, not B2C). A STEM background is not required but highly favorable. We do not require previous knowledge about our technologies or the industries we serve but, again, this is favorable.
  • A strong desire to always be learning and growing.
  • Impeccably clear written and oral communication skills.
  • A passion for details, systematic workflows, autonomy, and team play.

You’ll work at our office in Montrose, but may telecommute part of the time if desired.

There will be some travel, both domestically, and internationally around the world to trade shows and customer locations.

Your resume is obviously important but we also want to know “what makes you tick”. Please tell us in a couple of paragraphs how our position meshes with where you want to be in the near future.
